Hi,I'm going to be moving into my first apartment soon i'll be staying alone so i would like some...company D I've already considered maybe a chihuahua but i wanna have a look at some other dogs too.I think i can only cope with a medium or small sized dog. And i can bring the dog out for walks around twice a day? once in the morning before college and once at night. maybe i can fit it another walk during lunch time I need a dog tht doesnt really need too much attention, and a dog that doesnt make noise when i leave her him alone at home I have college in the morning, and after ...lunch time i have my part time job and ... i don't think i'd like a dog that sheds a lot P

Good apartment dog breeds?
My fiance and I will be getting married this summer and moving into an apartment in August. We are looking for an apartment dog, but my fiance, like most men, refuses to have a small dog. Also, we will both be working and going to school, so a dog that can cope on its own for 8 hours a day would be ideal. We are looking for medium to large sized dogno sheddinglow to medium energy levelAlso, are Mastiffs good apartment dogs?

Any cute apartment dog breeds?
Ok first of all, I am NOT getting a breed just because it's cute, I will obviously do some research later. Second of all, I don't find poodle's, pugs, terriers, or any of those breeds cute. I like breeds with a snout similar to common dogs like labradors and german shepherds. An example of small dog breeds I find cute are welsh corgi's, Shetland Sheepdogs, Shiba Inu's, etc. Can anyone tell any other cute dog breeds suitable for an apartment?

What are good apartment dog breeds?
Even though I have my heart set on a Corgi, I know I don't have enough space for one. > ' I know that in every breed there is exceptions. I know that mutts can sometimes be the best choice, and that will always stay in the back of my mind. but breeds give a good generalization for me to study on. I'm not going to be a dog today, this week, and probably not this month. I want to research first. I have enough physical space, but it would be unfair for a herding dog to have to depend solely on walks for exercise, and parks to give more tenacious breeds their physical stimulus. Herding dogs, working dogs, etc. I think need a yard to raise heck in. My apartment complex includes a park in the middle, and of course I'd be walking the dog. o Litter boxes are for bunnies, and cats.Yes, Rabbits can be litterbox trained. o.o

Good Apartment dog breeds?
I've been wanting a dog all my life and have gone through different breeds researched and Have been in love with Dogue de Bordeauxs ever since watching the movie Turner and Hootch. But I don't want adog just because I seen it in a movie, I want to find the right dog for me. I live in an apartment about 1200 sq feet, my apartment has a huge field big mowed area that is great for a dog, it's not fenced in though one reason I decided against a beagle I would love to be able to take my dog to the field on the leash but once we are there let him off so he can run around or play frisbee or tug or just to get out of the house, I have taken my neighbors dogs for walks so I have no problem with that, in fact I walk a ladies dogs that I found though a Craigs list ad, so I actually love walking them I am unemployed at the moment and I live with my mom, so no problems with being home with them. I also believe that dogs are family pets, not to be just left outside on the porch or tied up, I look at them and see a family member, not some animal. Gosh this is new for me so I'm not sure what questions to ask... I don't live in a big city, just kind small so it's pretty quiet, everything is pretty much within walking distance. I'm sorry for the long winded post, but Dogue de Bordeauxs are on the top of my list. Oh I also don't mind having a large lump leaning on me lol I babysit alot so I'm use to being pushed around so to speak, I also love a dog that would just enjoy laying on the couch with it head in my lap, watching Law and Order SVU or one that love tummy rubs.... The type of dog I want is something with energy but not to the point where they are running laps in the house. Enjoys walks. And the breed MUST do well with children. Thanks for any infoHere is my listDogue De Bordeaux American BulldogEnglish BulldogPit Bull TerrierNewfoundlandAustrailian SheppardBasset HoundGreyhound a retired racer Great DaneKlee KaiLabrador RetrieverNeopolitan MastiffRhodesian Ridgeback Siberian HuskyMalamute As you can see I really like the bigger more hefty dogs, I don't want anything smaller then a beagle. Also nothing real high maintenance, also a breed that is not known for being stubborn , or is easy to train. Thanks again... If you want you can email me at PinkAnthem YahooHavoc, you have won your self a block and a reporting. Congratulations I knew I was going to have at least one person comment on the pit bull. I know them. They are not bred for aggression. If you have a good owner then you have a good dog. Please don't punish the breed for what irrisponsible pet owners. realpitbull.com myths.htmlI seen some mentions of Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, and other small breeds. I'm not a yippy type of dog, person, I like the bigger breeds. Like I said nothing smaller then a beagle, Also I have heard that some of the worst bites come from smaller dogs. and children tend to pick up small dogs, so no small dog. but thanks anyways.

Good apartment dog breed?
Okay so I have been looking into getting another dog, before I get haters on here or people telling me that having a dog in an apartment is bad yadda yadda yadda. I have a dog and he is well cared for and well exercised. But I know he really needs a playmate. I have a well trained, well socialized Shiba Inu, I just don't have many friends with dogs so he doesn't get play time with other dogs as much. we do get to the dog park but it is so huge with lots of hiking trails that I can not let him off leash Shiba inus will run no matter how well trained Should I get another Shiba inu? or what breed would be a suitable companion that can handle his energy or match it?. Please no small dogs like yorkies, poms, Maltese, ect. I'm a college guy so please think about that.

My boyfriend are moving to Raleigh, NC in late July. I know a lot of apartments have different breed restrictions, but does anyone know about american bulldogs? Maggie our hopefully soon to be dog is a very small Am. Bulldog, she can't weigh anymore than 35 40 lbs, but I know this breed gets mistaken for a pit bull a lot. Does any one know or have any suggestions????Ok, so I asked my question wrong... when I call, as soon as the hear Bull... they immediately say no, " no, no pit bulls or anything like them" How can I at least present my " case" per say to them. She is not an aggressive dog, nor anything like a pit bull BTW I have nothing against pit bulls at all

Best apartment dog breed?
Right now I'm in search of a puppy but I'm confused on which breed I should get. My apartment complex allows all sizes and I was thinking of a pit bull. I've owned one before and I just love the breed but I'm not so sure anymore because when I go on trips or vacation I don't know if it can go everywhere with me. I've been looking at many breeds of dogs, of all sizes, and I am just not too sure which one. First pits, then daschunds, pomeranians, cocker spaniels, shepherds, etc.....what's your opinion? Maybe it'll help me out a bit. Narrow down my options.
