Any truth in this statement regarding boxer dogs?
" if your dog is a boxer, they have a tendency that once they taste blood they gone insane" I saw someone post this a while back and it worried me a bit, lately my two boxers have been attacking rabbits when I walk them over the hills, whenever they catch one they seem so excited, but not a normal kind of excitement, it's a bit weird, is this normal?Okay thanks, it's only really happened a few times, they never actually kill the rabbit, they may have done once, they don't even really hurt them, it's like they're mouthing them or something?I mean once the male had a rabbit in it's mouth I absolutely screamed at him running towards him I hate seeing any animal getting hurt and to my surprise the when he dropped the rabbit it just ran away unscathed.

Why are do people think boxer dogs are so ugly?
I was reading an artical online where boxers were voted the uglyest dogs but they are not they are adoreible , you'd think UG the internet dog would be voted the uglyest or a dog that breed but boxers are definatly not the uglyest

my dog lolly a boxer was attacking my little male dog wally when she was in heat and now i keep them apart so my little dog dont get hurt wally and lolly had 4 puppys a few days ago.what can i do to stop lolly from trying to hurt my dog wally. do i have to find a new home for my little dog.
How long will boxer dogs live?
The last dog i had was a bull mastiff female, she passed just before her 9th birthday, i have the chance of taking on a rescue boxer and he is 9 year old.

if we were up the feilds 1 day & another dog started attacking me would my boxer dog attack that dog??or if someone pulled a knife out on me,would he attack the attacker??we have a strong bond & i would do anything to protect him. i dont know what i would do without him.

I am was thinking abut adopting a boxer dog or some kind of boxer mix. I heard they are an awesome breed, any opinions. Boxer dogs with reoccurring throat infections?
My 2 Boxer dogs have had the same viral bacterial infection now on and off for over a year. I occurs about once per month and causes sore throat so bad they vomit if they eat,eye discharge,frothy white saliva at back of throat,enlarged lymph nodes and fever. The vets give them antibiotics and Metacam for fever. I was wondering what I can do or try to stop this from happening? The vets did a throat swab on one dog when she was well and it grew nothing.

hey i have been researching about the boxer and they seem like really nice dogs to have around children. i have two little sisters one is nearly 3 and the other one is 9 . this will be out first dog in our family and we don't want a little dog like a Yorkshire terrier.. my sisters friend has a boxer and she is a sweetie they foster babies and the dog is great with them i still have a few questions about the breed1 are they hard to train and housebreak? i am willing to put the time a effort.2 will they harm my little sisters? my other friends boxer bit her in the face when she was younger because she was stroking her when she was eating.3 what sort of puppy shall i go for we are going to buy of home breeders and when we view the puppies which is best the shy sort of ones or the energetic?4 do they chew alot?? my dad will go mad if we come home and all our sofas are chewed up..also what are some pro's and cons of boxers dogs?thank you
Very skinny boxer dog, what should I feed?
My 8 year old male boxer mated for the first time in his life in September, but, without me knowing, he mated with the female we own 9 times. He is incredibly skinny right now his ribs are visible as is his spine. He is acting a bit lazier and grumpier than usual, and he used to be an incredible dog. I live in Mexico, so the whole " Spay your dogs" thing doesn't really apply here and I can kinda see why P When we went with the veterinarian, he told us to feed him cooked rice and chicken breast, and he also gave him a vitamin. I didn't see exactly what he gave him, but he said it would help grow fat or muscle didn't really pay attention to that as I was also taking the puppies to get their vaccines . Should I keep going with the rice and chicken, or is there something else I can give him? It is really worrying me and I don't really see much of a change. I went with the vet about a week ago, but the vet said that in a month, there should be an improvement. Ok, Dog Section whatever, f off. Please and thank you.Just give me a straight up answer please, I thank you for answering, but I'm not asking for explanations saying that living in Mexico is an " excuse" to not neuter the dog. We wanted puppies, and we got them. Period. We mated our own dogs because breeders here are incredibly and unprofessionally sh t. I'm just asking what should I feed him to get him back in shape, or if it isn't possible to get him back in shape, then something just to get him fat, I don't care, I just don't want to see his bones.
Boxer dog helpp please!?!?
I have a 3 year old male boxer he is very friendly but, gets excited very quickly and is kind of hyper.If people come to the house he is very excited but will clam down after about 10 to 15 minutes. I want to get a small dog breed either a Yorkie or mini dachshund. He is very good with other dogs but he chases cats he just wants to play with them but the cats DONT want to play with him. But he is very good with my two guinea pigs i can have them out on my bed or on the floor and he just lays there and sometimes licks them lol. Do you think he would be okay with a small dog? Help please and thankyou
Question About White Boxers Dogs?
Just a little curious, I have a a white boxer and she has a hip problem? She also has one crossed eyed. Is she prone to things being wrong with her because she is white? Ive always heard white animals either die early have tons of problems, becomes death, blind ext?I should of added that she is 100 % boxer her mom and dad are show dogs In the contract of getting her I had to get her Spaded
