I googled the most dangerous breeds. In most lists, Pitbulls, Rotties and German Shepherd were in the top 3 but right after them were Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. What makes those dogs top 10 most dangerous breed material?Like we know American Pitbull Terriers are involved in a lot of dog fights, German Shepherds and Rottweilers are used mainly as guard dogs so they deliver a nasty bite to whoever intrudes upon the property of others.But what about Huskies and Malamutes, what makes them reach the top 10 most dangerous breeds list?

My father and I went to Animal Control today to see if our missing cat was there. She was and is back home safe and sound It's never pleasant when I go because you have to walk past numerous animals that are waiting to be adopted or claimed by their owner. After we I.D.ed our cat, I looked at a laminated flier on the counter. Ridiculous...It was a " dangerous dog breeds" list. Pitbulls, Rottweilers, GSD, Malamutes, Dobermans, Akitas, etc. were all on that list saying they accounted for the majority of fatal dog bites. The amount of Pits and Pit mixes as well as GSD's at Animal Control was astounding. Beautiful dogs and most of them were very friendly. Do they not realize that this is going to HURT their chances of being adopted? If the shelter agrees, then they must be dangerous...Why would they place a list like that in plain view for potential adopters to see? Euthanasias at our local animal control for Jan 2010 were 67 dogs and 191 cats. How many of these dogs could have been adopted, had it not been for the ignorance regarding breed?Certain breeds have been banned in numerous areas in Florida, but not our area as yet. Miami is one of the better known BSL supporting areas. They are allowed to adopt these dogs out at Animal Control. Pit mixes are consistently being adopted out at the SPCA across the street. The SPCA has no such sign posted.

ok this is a huge disappointment to me. so i short story long my last dog passed away christmas of 2010 and it has felt empty with out a dog around. but now that i want a larger dog i am in a pickle because of the insurance that we have and the breed of dogs i am looking into adopting. i live in california San Diego and the homeowners insurance that i have will not allow even Alaskan huskies and obviously one of my other preferences in dogs a pit bull. i really need some guidance into how to go about getting the breed i want without having to later down the road having to choose between my dog and home owners insurance any guidance would be much appreciated thank you for your time and help.

Closest answer gets 10 points....Yeah i know there all dogs are born innocent... but in my country it is illegal to bring pit bulls here, just because of their history.... No, we don't have dog fights, it jus so happened that pitbulls have killed alot of people adults and kids here.... Owner or not the most of them cant be trusted when around strangers...
