What is up with all these "designer dog breeds"?
I have 10 dogs due to people not spaying or neutering. All of mine were either dumped or abused and all are spayed and neutered. How can people breed mutts, register them with some bogus club and sell them for big bucks when there are so many wonderful dogs in pounds and shelters? It makes me so sad.

Is it just me or do all designer dog breeds look the same?
Like the smaller breeds designer dogs. They all look the same so I don't see why there are so many combos, and why people like them so much, and why on earth they even cost more than like $50... Is it just me?Not even ones with those breeds in them look the same to me lol.

my cuz has a bechon fresie a " designer" puppy.i think the " designer" pups are ridiculous and im sick of it.my mom likes teacup yorkies but i dont.like golden doodle,pomadoodlesheperdpoodle,morkie,puggle,labradoodle,pocket beagle,pocket bear cub...etci think its retarted and im tired of stupid people mainly girls putting the poor pups in their purses.i c it all the time and the teacup chihuahuas that whimper and shake that are forced in to cramped spaces.is it animal cruelty??are you sick of it??pocket beagle pugglei dont know alot about bechons but the one i know is mean.but anyway thing like pomapoos?it hurts 2 c that people pay a bucketload of money when we should be adopting and stoping puppymills and dog beaters,so idk why people buy the sick runts and breed together,it causes health problems ?
Why do designer dog breeds have names that sound like canned kids' food?
This isn't a question for or against designer dogs but I was wondering why many of the names sound like kidified foodstuffs chiweenies, cavdoodles, goldendoodles? I don't care what anyone chooses to spend their money on but wish everyone would adopt but what is with these names?
Our dog is a chiuahua/terrier mix, should I get cute and give him a designer dog breed?

When you see some of these designer breed names, do they make you think of something totally different than the dog it is supposed to represent? Ok, I must be in a very odd mood today because I'm thinking of stupid stuff. But, honestely, when I see some of these breeds, it makes me think of goofy stuff.Shih Poo makes me think of a dog with diarrhea.Pom Chi makes me think of 70's porn music... What's the most ridiculous designer dog breed that you have heard of or seen?
The other day at work we groomed a " Newfiedoodle" Newfoundland Standard Poodle.Those are crazy BSL. I 've seen, puggles,maltipoos,Schnoodles,Labradoodles,Yorkiepoos,Cock a poos,peek a poos all in person. Designer dogs.. breeds with no purpose?
When dog breeds were created hundreds or thousands of years ago, they were created for a purpose. To guard, to herd, to pull carts...Does anyone else think it's sad that these designer dogs are bred for no purpose? They literally have no purpose in life.. there are no standards, no guidlines, no reasons. And the whole thing has gotten so out of control, with the internet and our global village's shipping abilities. There are so many people doing it now, that not one person can say " I created this breed, for this reason.. and this is what their standard is.." I just think it's sad for the dogs. What do you think?The reason I think it's sad is because dogs are happiest when you fufill their instinctual needs...not smother it to death with personification.
