I am trying to figure out what store has cheap dog beds for about $3 $5 dog beds. I am thinking about getting my dog, Labyrinth, and my puppy dog, Pacol that for Christmas. My bloodhound Mia, will be having her 4th birthday. I'm looking to buy her a large dog bed. Mia loves to curl up but also stretch out. She is at least 48" when sprawled out. I'm looking for something thick, that's easy to wash and be vacuumed easily. And overall great quality. So if you guys know any great beds that fit these requirements I would greatly appreciate it if you Could post them.

i would love to wash my dogs every week but the vet said that would strip their coats of essential oils. he said to wash them every 6 wks i wash them on t he first of every month. is this ok? can i wash them every week? the smelliness of my 2 little dogs is the only think i dislike about having them. yes i brush their teeth. and i wash them down if they get in anything stinky.I have an old double duvet with duvet covers we have a king size bed now. I wash the duvet cover every week and i put the actual duvet on the line if its a fine day.i also change the duvet cover every week. is this OK?my sisters and my friend shake their heads in disbelief they say they are only dogs they dont even need a bed they can just lie on the floor boards of the little shed i have them in?. i am smitten with my little shih tzus and they are well behaved. what should i say if my family and friends start in on me again. they are lovely people but just dont " get" dogs?
Are any of you familiar with Orthopedic Dog Beds, for dogs recovering from surgery?
I have a 11 month old male, 5 pound Chihuahua named Scooby. Scooby was diagnosed with Luxating Patella in both knees. He is a grade 3. He's been to the vet numerous times. He is on .25 ml of Metacam twice a week. He has been x rayed, had his blood tested to check his Liver and Kidneys and everything is in normal range. The vet says he's very healthy. He will be having surgery, as soon as the vet tells me he is ready to. The vet wanted to wait until he develops a little more. He will probably have the surgery by the end of this year. No arthritis has set in yet and that is what the vet and I want to avoid happening. I asked my vet if it would be a good idea, for me to get Scooby and Orthopedic Pet Bed and he said it wouldn't hurt, it would most likely help Scooby. He needs a new bed anyway and I want to get him one that is going to make him as comfortable as possible and give him as much support as possible during his recovery from surgery. I feel so bad for him having to go through this. I honestly don't care about the cost of the bed, as long as it makes Scooby as comfortable as possible. Do any of you use Orthopedic Beds for your dog s ? I found this link that has different kinds. If you scroll down you will see the different types. I have a really good relationship with my vet and he is always there for me, to help my dogs if they need anything. Scooby is such a sweet, well mannered and loving puppy. This surgery is going to be really tough for such a little guy. I really feel sorry for him. I will do what I can to help him get back on his feet. He will never be out of my site and if I have to leave and go somewhere, my husband will be watching him. He will always have someone watching him. As far as the bed, the one he has now, is a little hard for him to balance himself on when he stands up or tries to move around in it, because it's not flat on the bottom so that's why a think an Orthopedic Bed would be beneficial. Orange flakes in dog bed?
I picked up this dog about 2 weeks ago, i'm noticing there are some odd lil orange ish flakes in her bed. it looks almost like rice, the size and shape of it. but i know its obviously not. i'll clean up her bed and wash it, and sure enough, the next day tehre are orange ish flakes again. does anyone know what this is? i've had dogs for a long time and havent seen this before, and cant seem to find anything about it online anywhere.ive checked her skin, nothing seems to be flaking off, no patches of missing hair, its also not the stuffing, checked that too. and lol nah, shes not rolling in anything or getting into food anywhere
