What to dog owners prefer a dog grooming salon or mobile dog grooming salon?
Hi everyone.Recently I have been thinking about opening my own dog grooming business. I love animals and enjoy beauty also. I currently am working and studying as a vet nurse dog groomer and love it and have done a number of courses about dog grooming. but I would like to own my own grooming business. My question is as dog owners would you prefer to take your dogs to a grooming salon which allows you to drop your pets of in the morning and collect them at a time that suits you or a mobile dog salon, which can come to you ? I look forward to reading your answers, thanks everyone

How do I learn and get experience dog grooming?
There are NO dog grooming schools nearby, which is crazy as I live in " the gateway to the west" . The only school around has outrageous tuition fees and since it's a private college and not a trade school financial aid is not available. The basic bather class is around $1k which in my opinion is useless in the field on it's own with a full grooming training classes around $8 9k PLUS materials you have to buy from them around $1 2kSo without a school around my next best option is on the job training right?I have applied in nearly every grooming salon including big chains such as Petsmart and Petco. They are either wanting groomers with experience or the base level job gets filled and I have applied time after time. OR they are always " accepting applications" but don't tell you if jobs are available or not. They are even wanting experienced dog bathers HOW is anyone to get experience if no one is willing to hire someone without experience? welcome to the experience that so many fresh out of college kids are feeling as well I'm getting really frustrated as it's my dream to one day open my own grooming and cage free boarding facility but at this rate I feel like I'm never going to get my dream even off the ground So what do I do? Do I save up money to go to the nearest pet grooming school?...but then will I have the schooling but once again NO experience and be in the same predictiment as before? Do I just keep applying and applying and hope one day I get hired at a entry level position and learn grooming?HELP
Dog grooming accident advice?
I own 2 havanese dogs both 6 months old. I used to have a dog groomer but she informed me it's easy enough to do on my own with the clippers. I have done it once or twice without an issue and yesterday I decided to do their monthly cuts. The issue I have is I accidentally forgot to didn't notice the guard wasn't on the blade so now one of my puppies is bald. Is there anything I need to do until it grows back?? Get her a blanket? a coat? Just a little worried she may get coldI know silly question however better safe than sorry. thanks in advanceusually I will start clipping from the centre back as A thats how I was shown by the groomer and B it's the longest and thickest bit. So obviously by the time I realized she already had a massive bald stripe down the back of her. So I called the groomer and she advised it all come off to which i agreed.
