How to remove the colour on dog tags?
My dog just got a new city license and they've chosen a pink colour for this year's tag. He also has a yellow rabies tag. Does anyone know what might remove the colour without removing the engraving? I've tried nail polish remover, but it didn't work.We renew our tags yearly and they don't wear off easily. Thanks everyone, I might try to lightly sand it or soak it in bleach. It's metal and engraved. He doesn't care that it's pink, I just don't like how it looks because it's so bright. I have a beautiful ID tag that I bought and I find that it takes away from it. They were always a dull yellow and they have the year engraved so I'm not sure why they changed the colour. He only wears it when he's out of the house so it takes the entire year for the edges to wear. Oh well, I'll get over it. I have no problem with anyone looking closer if they are concerned.
Where can I buy replacement rings for dog tags?

Dog Tag for my boyfriend for Christmas?
Me and my boyfriend will have been going out for three months in December. Yea, yea. I know, it sounds a bit much for three months, but me and him have been 'talking' since January of last year. He's going into the marines, and wears these two legit dog tags from his friends that were in the marines, so I know if I got him a dog tag, he'll wear it. I wanna get 'i love you' written on one, and on the other write our names on one side aNd the date we started going out on the other. I have been saving fifty dollars for about a month or two now just to buy him something for Christmas. I calculated the cost 25 bucks for the dog tag itself, 6 bucks to write our date, and 3 dollars every word longer than three letters . It comes to about 43 dollars, give or take a few bucks. Is this a good idea, or no? If not, do you have any other ideas for things I can get him for Christmas? Thank you in advance.
Is there anyway to find out who owns a dog by searching for the number on the dogs tags online?
I found a boarder collie today, and It has dog tags, just not any with its name or phone number or address. And the pound is closed on weekends so I cant call them. Is there anyway to look up the number n the tag and find the owner online? or is there anyone besides the pound I could call to find out who owns the dog? Thank you
