Hey, well, im looking 4 a dog good with kids, but hte dog has to be small, and friendly, its weird coz the bigger dogs are the ones better with kids. but i wanted to ask are maltese dogs good with kids?? or jack russel or beagle?? Lol my sis wont be allowed to touch it, its not about my sis hurting it.. its about the dog hurting my sis.. shes 1... im 100 % sure she wont touch it coz it wont be allowed inside when we get it.. jusst in the garage.. we have carpet and its cozy in out garage.. so dw it will all be good. theres a lock and she wont be able to go in.. i WILL let him out, i only will put him in the room its HUGE when he needs to sleep, other times he will be outside or with me alone.. so what do u think.. will he hurt her or are they good around kids ? if not give me medium sized dog good with kids..

Are Australian cattle dogs good with kids or a pet cat?
We have the opportunity to adopt a well mannered Australian blue heeler from an old friend. I met the 5 month old dog and it is very friendly and well off the leash. The question is. We have a cat and a daughter who will be two in less than a month and a 6 year old daughter as well. Also have 2 and 4 year old nieces we see occasionally. We have read that they nip a lot. Chase feet etc. That was a couple of sites. But others said they are good with kids. I had a jack Russell growing up that was more like a lab than a jack Russell. This dog seems well behaved. Are they well with kids and or cats? Thanks in advanced.

I want to own a dog, I do have 3 cats and two ferrets, and I do have time to keep up with an Aussie. I want to be active, at least go jogging with this dog for 1 2 hours. I live in Massachusetts.However I want to use my dog as some kind of motivator to children in church. Like have the kids read him her a book. Yes, I do intend on taking my dog to church with me, and use him her for the glory of God. I've seen some dogs used for this, and I want my pup to take part.I am a stay home wife, and I have no children and I don't plan on having one soon. My husband is an active person, and I do want an active dog, because he she will fit our lifestyle. And I do not want a small dogI was thinking of a pitbull, because I know they are good with children. I ask because I came across the most charming young dog. He was a Alpha Blue Blood Bulldog and I found him quite impressive. Now as far as Bull dogs go I have never even considered a bull dog. I am quite found of Terriers, especially a well bred American Pit Bull Terrier. One of the most beautiful dogs in the world.But this bulldog struck my interest and I would like to know a bit more. Friendly, loving, one that we all can play with specially the kids , what do you suggest??, I was thinking about a miniature maltese, miniature Schnauzer any miniature LOL , and one that can be easily trainned not to pee on my carpet and also, one that doesn't shed .We just want an easy to take care of " lap" dog.

Are Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dogs Good With Kids?
I am thinking about adopting a 5 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog. There are 4 kids in the house and their ages are 4, 7, 10 and 13. They are considerate.We have two other dogs as well. A beagle basset mix and a min pin beagle mix. They are 1 1 2 and 2 years old. Both are well trained and socialized. Would this kind of dog do okay at our house? We have a large exercise pen and the dogs go on two half hour walks daily. We also have a friend who fosters dogs, so he would have plenty of puppy friends.Does anyone else have experience with these dogs? Do they generally do well with children and other dogs?
