White mucus from dogs mouth?
Hello I noticed today that when I had finished taking my dog for a walk he had White foamy mucas coming from his mouth... any help for what it could be? should I worry? He did go to the vet last thursday and everything seemed fine Thanks

There aggressiveness and many of there survival skills are bred out, not they almost need us humans to live, their forced evolution from wolves has definetly reduced their ability to fight. so are they parasitic since they can only survive with humans?i meant to say " now they need humans to survive" and not " not they need"

My dogs ears get red and hot after we take a walk. I was wondering if anyone else experiences this with their dog? There is no itching, irritation, or smell associated with it. The weather is about 72 deg.
What's your opinion on homeless people with dogs?
I was walking my dog in the park today and saw two obviously homeless men walking their puppies. The puppies were very underweight and didn't look healthy at all. It really bugged me that the puppies had to suffer. I mean it wouldn't bug me if the person had lost their job and was forced into homelessness. But the men I saw had been homeless for a while, probably years, and the puppies couldn't have been more that 2 months old. So what are your opinions on this? Should they be allowed to own dogs if they can't even support themselves?I agree with rayven and mini. I have no idea where they got their puppies and they could actually be doing them a favor. Most of them having chosen that lifestyle. my cousin CHOSE to live that way They do deserve to have the pets but I'm not sure that it's fair for the dog.Also, if i were homeless the last thing i would want is a complete strangers pity. If i could i would buy houses for every homeless person i saw, but unfortunately i can't so what's the point in feeling sorry for them? That's not going to give them food or housing.

How do I break my dog from toy aggression towards other dogs?
He is not aggressive towards humans, but if another dog walks by him while he has his ball in his mouth he growls, and if he leaves it on the ground, he runs up and growls and then takes the ball back. He is neutered and does not listen to me well at the dog park but at home it is a different story.

I work at my local vet hospital and i fell in love with a pit bull named Blue. She has been through hell and is only 18 months old. She only takes really well to me but is the sweetest dog in the WORLD She is so smart too. I taught her, her first trick in less than a day. I can easily afford her but im going to college in less than a year, i really want to adopt her, because i love her and i know she will have a loving home where she will be safe. Im working my butt off trying to find a way to keep her, before someone else gets her for the wrong reasons. aka pit fighting, and breeding So, if anyone knows of any colleges that would allow me to keep her in a dorm or has any Good advice please let me know. I m real desperate, I really want Blue to come home with me, and have a forever home.would off campus housing be considered an apartment?is it also true that apartments would be cheaper than getting the dorm?
Dog drinking other dogs urine?
Okay I have been a trainer and dog owner for years but have never seen this before. We have a male dog that licks up everyone else my other dogs pee outside. I have seen male dogs do this to female dogs in heat but never to all dogs.Also I know they eat poop but urine? Any ideas why he would be doing this? He always has.

*Gasp* Could I Be Allergic to Dogs?
I'm a dog lover. I love everything and anything having to do with dogs. I love researching canine nutrition, behavior, training techniques, health problems, characteristics of certain breeds, etc. I'm definitely considering going to school to become a veterinary technician, and have already registered to take a dog grooming course as well as applied to various animal shelters. After being asked to babysit my neighbor's puggle, I've noticed having the urge to sneeze after petting him as well as getting very itchy eyes. Could I be allergic to dogs? I always pet dogs, but never had this problem before. Then again, I was babysitting this dog not just petting it on the street. If I'm going to be working up close with dogs, grooming them and whatnot, I would probably have the same reaction. I own a dog, but it's a non shedding breed so I don't experience any sort of reaction to it. I'm really scared that I could be allergic to dogs as I love them so much and want to pursue a career in working with animals. If I am indeed allergic to dogs, particularly dogs that shed and produce a lot of dander, is there anyway I could still pursue a career as a vet tech dog groomer with proper medication that could keep my allergies under control?
Can a german shepherd be a guardian dog?
i have 1 year old gsd. she is fine whenever we watch her with the livestock but once she's a far distance from us she attacks livestock goats, and cows and will kill our birds and when we're away she bunches them up and waits for one goat to leave so she can take it down on top of that if a goat hits another one of our dogs she attacks that goat immediately. now she's also influencing one of our dogs to nip at the goats heels to help her. when we supervise her she keeps her distance and dodges every hit. but even if we're there and go a far distance she harasses all livestock and fights back the hits and kicks. is there a way we can fix this? we want to fix it so she can be a guardian dog and will live with livestock unsupervised. also is it possible to make it so she'll only shepherd when commanded? and lastly how can we fix it so that she doesn't bark or get aggressive to the livestock and poultry unsupervised? also how can we make so that she doesn't guard the other dogs when they can't dodge a hit? ps. if your wondering about socialization we got her at 11 weeks and she went to the farm every weekend and she wasn't aggressive to the goats at all. but she wanted to kill the poultry right when she started. she didn't start living there until 6 months with another dog. but 6 months was too late she was already aggressive. can we fix her? because i know if she's not aggressive all the other dogs will follow her so she's the only that needs fixing.if any additional info is needed let me know.
