Question: Have any of you ever had a racist dog?

LOL! I went over to my friend's house (who is black)... Her dog started barking at me, and she was like, "Oh, don't mind him, that dog's a racist. He doesn't like white people. " And then I've known a few white people's dogs who didn't like black people! What is up with these weird dogs?

Had a cat that hissed and spat at black people like she saw a devil. She just never seen any while growing up and got scared of them. Same thing with this dog. It's just not socialized that's all.

My old dog didn't like my friend that was black and he would start freaking out whenever she would come over. And once we had a black nyseg guy come to our house and he broke his chain and chased him, it was mean but really funny.

Dogs are NOT racist. Nor are they weird. The dogs are quite simply reacting to someone that's unfamiliar to them. A dog who's never seen a person wearing a hat, or glasses, or a hood, etc., would react exactly the same way. If your friend actually socialized her dog correctly, and disciplined it, it wouldn't be barking.

The dog isn't racist, racism is a human thing. The dog just isn't socialized around people of other races, all the dog knows is that person looks different. The dog could have the same reaction to someone with a beard or a big hat if the dog hadn't been around those things before. .

Dog are not racist! They are simply reacting to a person's energy or something that makes them nervous. For instance, my previous dog barked, growled and would not go near my brother if he had a hat on. As soon as he took the hat off she went right to him.
