I am allergic to anything with fur but i love dogs. I don't want a little purse or toy do, and i think Terriers are kinda ugly no offense to any terrier owners i want a macho big dog, that wont make me sneeze every time i am around them. I really like wolf breeds too.Any help?

Hypoallergenic does not mean that they are totally allergy free, it just means that they produce fewer allergens. I think you have the wrong idea of what the " hypo" in hypoallergenic really means..I already have a dog, a Bichon Frise, so I'm not asking this because I am going to go out and get one.. I was just wondering what other breeds are considered good for allergy sufferers. I also have goldfish already.

My dad just told me he was allergic to dogs when I told him I wanted a pomeranian. He says that it's so bad that when a dog passes by, he starts sneezing. I'm a bit disappointed that I can't get the breed I want but, I guess I just have to deal with it...

I am thinking of getting a dog. It has to be hypoallergenic, because my mom has allergies. I know that hypoallergenic dogs usually has silky poodlelike hair. What breeds are small, not yappy, and good with cats. My parents hate yappy dogs. And they do not like poodles. I thought about a westie, havanese, maltiese, maltipoo.and please reccomend some other breedsand we will wash and brush it often so it won't be too bad, thx for the helpful answersI am leaning towards a havanese

My parents announced that we can finally get a dog but i did research and found the American Water Spaniel, which is what i reallly want. then my dad did research, and he says they aren't hypoallerigenic. so, are there any medium sized less than 40 pounds when full grown , family friendly is have a 7 year old sister and a 11 year old brother, and im the oldest at 13 , intelligent dgo breed that is good for us? and i know that there is no such thing as a totally hypoallergenic dog, it depends on how much dander they create. thank you And if you can, could you give me a breeder that is in the Bellevue, WA area, like in Seattle?oh, and my mom and dad have both had 2 dogs, so they know what its like. and my dad doesn't want, like a show dog, he wants a dog he can take hiking and rough house with, besides my brother, haha. and no teenie tiny dogs, if you can help it, like nothing thats lighters than 20 pounds when full grown. i know this is a lot to consider, but any suggestions would be great, thank you. oh, me and my dad are allergeic, but he is moreso than i am.

I was DYING for a toy Eskie but my mom totally turned and said no it has to be hypoallergenic, even though eskies don't shed a lot , btw a breeder told me that ANYWAY dose anyone know of a hypoallergenic fluffy dog. Not like a yorkie or habanese, no offence i don't like them. I'm thinking about adopting a dog, which is a mix of Basenji and Redbone Coonhound. I know a basenj is hypoallergenic, but im not sure about the Redbone Coonhound. im pretty sure theyre not. But, would a mix be hypoallergenic? because i know labradoodles lab & poodle mixes are hypoallergenic, despite one of the dogs breed is a heavy shedder and prone to allergies.So would this dog be hypoallergenic?
