Preferably large dog breeds but it doesn't matter Ok you don't have to critique me on what they are called. You should get the point that I am looking for a breed that doesn't shed a lot. I am asking a question for you to help me not for you to tell me that I called it something wrong. Sorry to the people who know what I mean and actually answer my question I really appreciate it

I m looking to get a puppy that is hypoallergenic. I grew up with min schnauzer and they are just to small for my liking and a standard is just a little too big. I have really bad allergies and asthma.

Hypoallergenic does not mean that they are totally allergy free, it just means that they produce fewer allergens. I think you have the wrong idea of what the " hypo" in hypoallergenic really means..I already have a dog, a Bichon Frise, so I'm not asking this because I am going to go out and get one.. I was just wondering what other breeds are considered good for allergy sufferers. I also have goldfish already.

I want to get a low dander or hypoallergenic dog, but I don't want one of those little toy breeds. So far I've heard that the native american indian dog and samoyeds are good medium large breeds for people with allergies. Anyone know of any similar sized dog breeds that can be ok for people with allergies?

I'm thinking about adopting a dog, which is a mix of Basenji and Redbone Coonhound. I know a basenj is hypoallergenic, but im not sure about the Redbone Coonhound. im pretty sure theyre not.
