Is it true small dog breeds can't physically carry the litters of large dog breeds?

Are there large dog breeds without bone structure problems?
My husband and I are thinking through breeds of large dogs, and cannot come up with one that is not known for bone deficiencies. Is there a large breed of dog that has a sound bone structure?
What are some good medium or large dog breeds that would do good in an apartment?
I live in an apartment and I want a medium or large dog. I don't live in a little tiny apartment in the city with no yard, I live in a larger 3 bedroom apartment bigger than some small houses in a suburban area with a nice sized yard. I would be willing to take the dog on one long walk on weekdays because I have school . But on weekends i would be able to take it on around 4 walks a day. Any good dogs?

In the future not near future , I may be getting a puppy. So, I have some time to think over the breeds of dogs to make sure I will be getting the right breed for me. In a dog, I want Large dog For some weird reason, I have a thing for big dogs. Easy To Train This will be my first dog, so I don't want to challenge myself to a head strong dog. Good with other pets I have one other dog Chihuahua and I have a rabbit & other small critters. Shedding doesn't matter No one in my family has shedding allergies, so if the dog is an average shedder it isn't a real big deal. Thanks for all answers so far All of them sound like great dogs I just watched some Dogs 101 and I have officially fallen in love with Dalmatians and German Shepherds I know GSDs can be dominant though . I was wondering if there is a dog breed that has short, white hair and isn't small. I was thinking something along the lines of a dalmatian with no spots? I know labs can be a light colour, but I am looking specifically for WHITE and SHORT haired.FYI I'm NOT looking to buy a dog I can't, I'm underage and going to uni next year , so please don't lecture me on how I should pay attention to personality, not colour, etc, I'm simply asking this out of curiosity Cathy I didn't say short dogs, I said, quote, " SHORT haired" dogs, meaning I want the hair to be short, not the dog.

by smell I mean dogs like beagles and masseters I know they're adorable, but some dog breeds have unpleasant body smells or their saliva smells really bad . I was thinking of getting a German Shepherd, or an Irish English setter, but any big dog would be good

I want to do a lot of research on a dog before I get one, but it must be good with living in an apartment. I have a backyard, but will most likely be walking it around the neighborhood, as my superintendent has a not so friendly dog back there a lot of the time.
