Low energy medium sized dog breeds?
I am looking for a dog that likes to swim, I live in front of a lake Isn't high energy, and will be fine with a 20 30 minute walk, per day.I don't like bull dogs.About 25 35 pounds,I don't live anywhere near a rescue center, or pound, so I can't adopt, It would have to get along with other dogs, My family has a chihuahua,I think that is about it, please answer nicely, and if you have nothing nice to say, don't answer. My families planing to get a dog but we want a breed that is good with both our two cats and is not to big. We would like one that is easy to train and can come camping with us in our camper which is half an hour away. We have a medium to large house with non fenced back yard which is pretty big. Athletic but lazy medium sized dog breed?
Hello, I'm going to be adopting a dog in around 6 months and I'm trying to do as much research as I can.I'm 20 years old, and I will be living in a decent sized house with a yard, and no small children. I have a serious infatuation with dogs and I would LOVE a big rambunctious breed like a german shepherd or australian shepherd, but I simply do not have the time to train these dogs properly, on account of their need for serious mental stability in order to avoid behavioral problems. I'm active and I like to go for walks and jogs, so I want a dog that can play around with me and accompany me on walks, but I also want a dog that will be content with simple training every day, and an abundance of toys. Preferably a dog that doesn't have separation anxiety because I will be working or attending classes for certain parts of the day, but will always be home at the appropriate hours to walk, play with, and take the dog out. I want a medium to small sized breed that I can still wrestle with to unwind from my stressful work class days, and a lifelong companion.I would also like a favorably loyal dog, one who will be alert when there may be strangers or guests approaching my house.Thanks for the help And when I say Athletic but Lazy I mean an athletic dog that can play but will also be content with relaxing at home. sorry if that sounds a little confusing

Looking for a small to medium dog breed that we can run 3 6 miles with at a moderate pace. Must be 30 lbs or under. Ideally the dog is also very kid friendly.
Medium sized dog breed?
My aunt and uncle and their four children are thinking about getting a dog but first they need to agree on a breed. The dad wants a " guy dog" pretty much not a tiny little chew toy if you know what I mean and the mom wants something she can 'snuggle' with, or something that is soft. They don't want to have too much shedding, and their youngest child is five. They can and will take them on as many walks as needed and the kids are willing to play with the dog quite a bit, so energy level isn't really important. They don't want a huge dog, but the dad doesn't want a small dog, so a medium breed is good. 3 I've been looking for a while and I haven't found a breed that everyone agreed on... Does anyone have any ideas on what would be a good breed for them? Thanks

I want some detailed anwsers about what kind or small to medium sized dog will be easy to train, good with both my cats. i have a pretty big yard non fenced and a pretty big house to. It needs to be able to tolerate cold and hot weather, and my smaller cousins. my brothers are 15 and 14 and one of them likes to " play wrestel" with the cats.what do you recommened?

what are you're favourite medium sized dog breeds ? i LOVE large dogs such as labradors and australian sheperds but my mom wants a more medium sized breed. i have a friend who has a cross between an australian sheperd and a blue heeler that turned out a very nice medium size, still all the appeal of a large dog but just somewhat smaller. our first dog, a golden retriever cross yellow lab was originally the runt of the litter and became a GIANT. as many favourite medium sized breeds you could list would be very helpful, thank you

I'm adopting a dog, but my mom has allergies, and says she wants only beagle sized. It would be groomed every day, and walked, and played with for at least an hour everyday. The youngest is 4.
