Anyone know about different small dog breed termperaments and training? Yorkie, Shorkie, Shichon, Maltese, etc?
Hi I wanted to get a small dog Yorkie, Shorkie shih zu yorkie , Shichon shih tzu bichon , Maltese, Yorkie Poodle etcDoes anyone know about the different breed's temperaments? This would be for an apartment but I would of course walk jog hike with the dog at least every day. I also would never leave it alone for too long without a dog walker radio treats toys puzzles etcWhich dogs are easier to raise based on breed etc? Which require more attention? Which can be left alone longer?

What small dog breed should i get?
I am looking at a maltese, yorkshire terrier, and a boston terrier. I live in a pretty big house and theres a lot of hardwood and tiles. I need some suggestions on what small dog breed i should get. I am getting a dog in the summer mabye longer or earlier really depends on if i can find a breeder. This will be my first dog.Thanks

What type of small dog breed for being alone & obedienc? Yorkshire, Maltese, Bichon, Pomeranian, Cross breed?
I'm looking at Yorkshire, Maltese, Bichon Frise, Pomeranian...also lookihng at Yorkshire shih tzu & Yorkshire maltese mixes. I like Yorkshires a lot, but I do know that they are terriers so they can be pretty high energy, that's why I was thinking a mix might be beneficial.I realize that I have to put in a lot of work to keep it healthy mentally and physically. But, I'd still like to know from your personal experiences which dogs tend to take better to training for " being alone" , " faster learners" , " more obedient or submissive" but still affectionate ??I want a dog that is affectionate but also independent. I will have to go to work for up to 8 9 hours at a time. I will do proper socialization, regular dog walking, leave the dog with toys TV kong puzzles. If I'm gone for a LONG time I will probably have someone walk the dog. Any other personal advice on leaving a small dog alone will help. ThxWhich dog would do best on its own? What is a good, small dog breed?
I want to get a dog for Christmas. I want one that is small, and will stay small. I want one that is cute and sweet. Not one of those yappy dogs. If anyone knows of a really good breed please help. Thanks oh and one that will cuddle with me a lot.

I like small Dog breeds, expecially the Toy breeds. My MOST favourite breed Obviously is the Pomeranian Also known as Zwers , I own a Pomeranian Obvously a black one named Charlie, I also own a Pom Sheltie mix named Brandy.I like Chows and Papillons too, and other Dogs, but the Pomeranian is my favourite.I like Putbulls too.Oops, I meant Pitbulls I like the Toy breeds because Not every one is going to be afraid of them, they re small, you can cuddle with them, you can take them on the City Bus if you don t have a car, they re very cute and cuddly. I prefer Small Dogs over Big Dogs because of some of these reasons.In my life, I met WAY more aggressive large Dogs then small Dogs, every Pomeranian Except for one named LeRoy that I met was friendly. I own the smallest Dogs on my neighbourhood Who says small Dogs aren t fun? My Poms are WAY funner then my Hound Just sayin
