Question: Sony playstation 3 display help?

Hi. I just moved my PS3 slim from my room to my living room TV and it worked fine. I had to reset the video output settings by holding down the power button to get it to work on my living room TV. When I moved the PS3 back to my room it showed a blank screen. My HDMI cable is working fine and I have reset the video output several times, I even tried using the ordinary AV cable but still I had no luck. The playstation is only 3 months old and I still have the receipt. What should I do??? Thanks

Is the TV also set to use the same input that the PS3 is plugged into? The TV won't automatically switch to the input you plug into, you have to use the TV remote to select the correct input.

You have to use same input downstairs as upstairs and vice versa so if you are using hdmi cable downstairs then you will need to use that upstairs as well or you will keep getting the blank screen i took my ps3 to my brothers for weekend and had a blank screen for ages but if you keep going in the end you should get a picture back the ps3 isn't broke in anyway so keep the ps3 its just a being a penis my advice is keep trying and it you will get a picture in the end
